This year's Radford Twilight Fete will be a cashless event, making it easier, safer and more convenient for everyone to enjoy the evening.By moving to cashless payments, families can spend less time searching for cash or waiting for change and more time enjoying the rides, food, entertainment and community spirit that make the Twilight Fete so special.Going cashless makes it easier for children to participate independently and safely.

 

Food and ride wristbands provide a simple, child-friendly way to purchase food and enjoy attractions without needing to carry cash.Families can also choose to provide older children with a prepaid card or a payment card that suits their family's needs, removing the worry of lost notes or coins.

Why make the change?

 

In 2025, several stalls unknowingly accepted counterfeit notes, with some of these stalls operated by our students. We do not want our students placed in the position of having to identify or manage fraudulent currency. Moving to a cashless event helps create a safer environment for our students and volunteers, while also making transactions quicker, easier and more secure for everyone attending the Twilight Fete.

 

A cashless fete also helps us:

 

• Improve safety by reducing the amount of cash handled on site.

• Speeds up transactions across food stalls, rides and activities.

• Reduce queues, allowing families to spend more time enjoying the event.

• Create a smoother and more enjoyable experience for volunteers, stallholders and visitors.

We understand that not every child will have access to a payment card, which is why our food and ride wristbands remain the perfect option for younger fete-goers, giving them a simple and secure way to enjoy all the fun.

 

We encourage you to purchase food and ride wristbands before Fete Day. The food wristbands are not available on Fete Day. Wristbands can be purchased online here These will need to be collected from the Principals Building or Junior School Reception before Fete Day with confirmation of payment produced.
